During the module, we discuss the basic forms of manager’s everyday work. Training participants have an opportunity to improve their own abilities to delegate tasks, supervise their achievement and provide feedback related to summing up the advancement of the task delegated to the subordinate. We discuss the ways of diversifying manager’s behaviour depending on the level of employee professional development as well as how the manager can build or destroy employee motivation with his/her daily behaviour.

The training is especially useful for managers who:
  • start their professional careers,
  • have very diverse teams,
  • experience problems in building motivation and commitment in their subordinates,
  • have problems with enforcement of timeliness and quality of the tasks delegated to others.

The module answers the question that is important for every manager, namely how to be an effective leader of the team that I manage. The factors that support team effectiveness and development are discussed during the module. Training participants have an opportunity to improve their skills in building responsibility and commitment in employee or project teams and learn the effective methods of organising communication and work within groups. The session ends with individual team development plans prepared by all participants for their own teams.

The training is especially useful for managers who:
  • have very diverse teams in respect of age and experience,
  • manage project teams,
  • wish to improve their skills in the area of building openness and confidence within a group.

Company success, and often its survival, is dependant on accurate change planning and the ability of managers to implement change effectively. The essential objective of the module offered by us is to prepare participating managers for the effective implementation of various changes within organisational structures reporting to them. During the sessions, training participants learn about change dynamics and logic, have an opportunity to practice the methods of building the climate of commitment to the change process and the basic methods of overcoming the open or latent resistance to change.  Managers get also familiar with the techniques facilitating people management in the change process and methods of strengthening change effects that are most popular. The session ends with building a personal development plan by each participant preparing for effective change management.

The training is especially useful for managers who:

  • prepare for the implementation of specific organisational change,
  • start their professional careers.

The sessions offered by us train managers in how to build their authority and confidence that are the basis for an effective influence as well as how to make ethical use of the practical tools of exerting influence . The following techniques and methods are discussed: pacing, leading, the linguistics of influence, the ways of dealing with harmful beliefs, the methods of managing the audience attention and the way of building up arguments during public speeches. The exercises accompanying the sessions give training participants an opportunity to test and improve their own methods of influencing others.

The training is useful for all managers.

More and more often, managers are to coordinate the work of professionals or project teams closely collaborating within one company. The module offered by us improves the skills of building collaboration with an internal customer, namely another department or team. Training participants improve the ability that is of key importance for collaboration, i.e. to define clear areas of responsibility within a team and between teams. In the subsequent exercises, they practice how to agree and enforce the principles of collaboration between the individual members of their own teams and between their team and other company departments. Better collaboration within an organisation almost always translates into better results of the organisation as a whole.

The training is especially useful for managers who:

  • work with teams where individual members perform various functions within an organisation,
  • coordinate the work of several departments,
  • manage project teams.

We take the profile of the world of management, for which we work, into account when we select the training content, the content of exercises prepared especially for a given training course and the suggested rhythm of activities. A target programme developed by us is always a response to the needs of specific managers who work in specific conditions.
We construct training delivered to managers out of several of the below described training modules.
  • Individual management
  • Team management
  • Development of employees’ professional competences
  • Conflict solving and disciplining
  • Exerting influence on others
  • Conducting meetings
  • Collaboration with an internal customer
  • Change management
  • The power of individual differences
  • Building joint responsibility for performance

Each module lasts between ½ day and 2 days, as needed.

Offered Types of Training:

Workshops: One- or two-day workshops for the groups of maximum 12 participants. The participants have an opportunity to improve basic managerial skills and share intensively their experiences with managers coming from the same organisation.
Training cycles: We offer sessions that improve basic managerial skills and are organised as several (most often) 3-hour meetings held approximately at three-week intervals.  Between the meetings, the managers have an opportunity to test the subjects discussed during the sessions in their real-life working environment. The experiences gathered are subject to reflections during the next module.
Managerial team coaching:We offer team coaching to experienced managerial teams whose only need is intensive sharing of experiences and working out of their joint methods of acting.
Individual coaching: We offer individual work with an experienced coach to individuals who need special improvement of their managerial skills.

The purpose of the module is to establish the pool of solutions supporting collaboration with individuals representing various types of personality and styles of acting within an organisation. During the sessions, participating managers have an opportunity to improve their ability to accurately interpret the differences in behaviour of individual employees, use them for various tasks and work out their most useful response to such differences. Taking individual differences into account in everyday managerial activities is an important method to build the strength and effectiveness of one’s own team.

The training is useful for all managers.

The sessions discuss the issues of employee professional development in detail.
Participating managers are trained in how to develop subordinate’s professional skills in everyday work and during periodical meetings so that the subordinate becomes a fully self-reliant and responsible partner of the boss for the purpose of task implementation on a day-to-day basis.
During the module, together with participating managers we select the most effective methods of competence development indicated as significant by an organisation, and the ability to build realistic and motivating development plans is also improved.

The training is especially useful for managers who:

  • have young and not very experienced teams,
  • are overburdened with work that cannot be delegated to their subordinates due to their low professional experience,
  • wish to stimulate motivation in their people to develop,
  • have doubts about how to build the most effective development plans for individual competences indicated as important by the organisation they work for.

The module prepares managers to dealing with individual misunderstandings, conflicts related to employees failing to meet the quality and deadlines concerning delegated tasks, conflicts related to the unclear areas of responsibility and conflicts with other managers. Training participants improve their ability to diagnose and solve conflicts, handle misunderstandings in an assertive manner and the ability to act as a mediator. The module also improves the ability to discipline employees which is necessary when conflicts and misunderstandings lead to flouting discipline and work rules.

The training is especially useful for managers who:

  • start their professional careers,
  • experience problems connected with the escalation of various conflicts within the teams they manage.

Conducting meetings is an important, albeit slightly underestimated skill of every manager. The course of a specific meeting very often determines employees’ motivation and commitment to the projects discussed there. Short and effective professional meetings held in a timely fashion have a significant impact on the effectiveness of the whole organisation. During the module offered by us, training participants improve their skills relating to planning and conducting meetings, learn how to chair a discussion, seek solutions within a group to defined difficulties or problems, and learn the techniques supporting team decision making.

The training is useful for all managers who conduct meetings and professional meetings on a regular basis.

The sessions are always prepared taking into account a periodical appraisal questionnaire current within an organisation for which we work. During the sessions, we discuss the benefits of carrying out periodical appraisals, the principles of preparation to conducting an appraisal and an effective appraisal meeting plan. The participants practice appraisal interviews, dealing with potentially difficult moments, and prepare the plan of making use of the appraisal interview in everyday work with the subordinate.

The training is useful for all managers who conduct appraisal interviews.
